Hello, hello!
I haven't updated in awhile~
My deepest regrets and whatnot--but a fangirl's got a life too, you know, and I've been dead busy.
Of course, I've also been busy reading new books! The first was Blood Promise, by Richelle Mead (part of the Vampire Academy series), and the second was Wings by Aprilynne Pike.
I've been waiting to read Blood Promise ever since I contracted Swine Flu back in AugestorSeptember, and I spent my sick days reading Shadow Kissed and coughing and sneezing until the cows came home. Shadow Kissed was bloody fantastic, but of course it also left me a hallow shell of my formal self. Those who've read it will understand. I had hoped Blood Promise would help the shell--thing, but instead it just gave me bad blood pressure. JESUS, that book was awesome. So many plottwisties I was getting whiplash! BRAVO Richelle Mead, BRAVO. I'll now be eagerly awaiting Spirit Bound, coming in May. Seriously. I will not sleep until this book is in my hands. NO SLEEPING!
Wings was so awesome. The concept was so original and creative I was like "Who thinks of these kinds of things?!" That person would be Aprilynne Pike, who is rapidly becoming a favorite author.
I'm all ready a fan of faerie stories after Holly Black's lovely Modern Faerie Tales. Of course, Wings was a helluva less gothic-punk-wicked than Holly's books, but still good.
It made me wonder: In an Epic Faerie Fight of Awesomness, who would pwn the other (aka, who would it); Tamani (Wings) or Roiben (Tithe, Ironside)? Roiben's totally kick-ass (pardon my language, lol) but I think he'd have a harder time killing than Tamani. Tam's (can I call you Tam..? xD) all neck-snappin' and such, but I think he wouldn't want to kill someone who wasn't, you know. A troll. So, the debate is open! Place your bets!
I can't wait for the sequel, Spells. That's another May release. Than Mockingjay and The Clockwork Angel in August! I know I'm doing this summer...
I also started reading The Oracle Betrayed by Catherine Fisher. I LOVED Incarceron and Sapphique, so I really wanted to read more from her.
So far, it does not disappoint! ^_^
That's all for now, chickadee's. Make sure to check out Wings and Blood Promise!
