A Short Preamble Ramble

Hello, and welcome!
This blog was created because I find there are not nearly enough places to ramble in a semi-psychotic way about books. Does anyone else find a lack of this? I can pretty much talk about books 24/7, but after the first few hours of fangirl squeeing, people are oft prone to get a glazed look in their eyes and stop paying attention.
Case in point, dear readers. Case in point.
I'll be reviewing books predominately, but I'll also be talking about anime and manga (a fangirl is nothing without a few anime references in her back pocket). I'm always reading new books--always, always, always--so I'll have plenty to talk about. I hope to inspire some people to read a few amazing books, warn them of books I didn't care for, and hopefully find out about new stories myself!
Right now I eagerly awaiting a few new books. The Clockwork Angel, by Cassandra Clare, and Mockinjay, by Suzanne Collins, are both coming out in August. As of now I'm having a "Wake me Up When September August Ends" moment, except I'd rather wake up in the beginning of August, but, you know. If you change the song reference too much, it's not funny anymore. Anyway, desperately waiting to read these two. AGH!
The Mortal Instruments, by the aforementioned Cassandra Clare, is currently one of my top favorite books. I'll be reviewing each of them (City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass) later, because I'm on a mission to get everyone reading this amazing stories.
Speaking of top favorite books, I've decided to write up a quick "Top Six" list. Enjoy!

(MY CURRENT TOP 6 BOOKS)
(Reviews to follow in other posts)
(In No Particular Order)
1. Incarceron, by Catherine Fisher.
2. The Mortal Instrument Series, by Cassandra Clare
3. The Hunger Games (This includes Catching Fire), by Suzanne Collins
4. The Farsala Trilogy, by Hilari Bell
5. Death Note (okay, this is technically a manga, but still), by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata
6. The Modern Faerie Tale series, by Holly Black

Hooray for lists!
That's all for now (I have to stop talking at some time, right...? Right...?)! Keep checking back for book reviews, and a fangirl's assorted ravings!
K
